Home is Where Your Life Is

A house is made with wood, bricks, and concrete, but a home is made with love, care, memories, hopefulness, and culture. A home to me is a place where me and the family come together and have family bonding, laughing, sickness and tears. Home is a place where I get noticed, loved, and cared for. Home to me is the food like the chicken that my Dad, Mom or even my oldest brother cook. The dessert is next level amazing! It’s the one and only Ben & Jerry’s cookies and cream flavoured ice cream. My home is full of memories. Like on Wednesdays when me and my Grandpa and my brother go to Tim Hortons and buy three cups of potato wedges to bring back home to enjoy with the rest of the family. A home is where the culture is. Like when you just get home from anywhere doing anything, and you can smell the amazing spices and cultural foods for the family celebrations. Home is a place full of care, like when a family member is sick or when my Grandpa passed away, we were remembering the good, funny, sad, loving, and caring memories. That’s what home means to me.
