Meaning of Home
A home is an unforgettable place,a safe and comfortable place. It's where there's people, friends and family to listen to you and love you. You can open up or stay quiet without being judged by anyone. It’s a place of love, fun, sadness, happiness and so many memories. Home is not always happy or fun. Sometimes it’s sad but those sad moments shape the future, so you can learn to move on. I would know, when my aunt passed away I was told about it in my home and in that moment it didn't feel like home but I've learned to move on and since then there have been lots of happy memories. Joy could be one of the words for home but, it could also be love or even kindness. But, in the end home is where you find whatever emotion you want to feel even if you don’t know what emotion to feel. A roof over your head, while you sleep in bed, a living room for laughter and joy, a little play room to play with a toy, a bathroom for relaxation and self reflection and a hallway to make sure you walk in the right direction. Wherever you are you can find home even if you have to make a place your home, build a home or even just think of your home when you're not there. Everyone deserves a home because everyone deserves a safe shelter to live in instead of a house. It’s unimaginable to think that even with all the help people get from Habitat for Humanity and volunteers around the world there’s still people and families who don’t have a home or a second chance for shelter. Because home is home and home is love.
