I'd rather be home

Home- the sight of my mum's flowers in the garden. Home- the smell of popcorn bursting on the stove. Home- the sound of the radio blaring in the kitchen. Home- the taste of dad’s boiling hot Chili. Home- the feeling of my blanket on my bed. Some people don't have a house to turn into a home so they had to make do. For some people a classroom, a spot in the forest or even a library can be a home. I am lucky enough to have a house to turn into a home. I hope someday everyone gets a home to live in and a home that fits them best. Home should usually be where you can be happy and you should be happy to be at home but sometimes it's somewhere that's sad and I can cry. If I could fit home into three words it would be comfort, happiness, and love. I could write all the words in the world but that's not what I think. Home is an amazing place and I'd rather be home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity.
