Home is Not a House

Home is not a house because I feel safe, loved and cozy. These are my three reasons why I feel that home is not a house. My room makes me feel safe and secure because I have all my special photos on my wall, reminding me of happy times with my family and friends. My family makes me feel safe because they are loving and always have my back. They understand and love me. Home is a safe environment to come home to every day. My cat makes me feel loved because she greets me at the door after I'm gone for a while, she always cuddles with me. Memories make me feel the most loved, my Memory that I could never forget is where we measured me and my brother's height ever since we were one years old. My brothers make me feel loved and happy. They are bright, fun and playful. I love playing hockey with them. They teach a lot and I appreciate it. The coziest spot in my home is my bedroom because my bed is so soft I can sink into my bed while I listen to the heavy rainfall on my metal roof. My living room is the warmest place in my home because after playing in the snow, I can cuddle up in a soft cozy blanket by the fireplace drinking a warm cup of hot chocolate filled with marshmallows. Most importantly the people that we share it with makes a house a home. That's why I think home is not a house.
