Meaning of Home

My home is where I have my own space in life It makes me who I am, and alive My bedroom is not just a room with four walls It is where I can chill, maybe even take my friends’ calls I can just jump on my bed without thinking And read a book, and soon be sleeping My living room is where I have my favourite comfy couch I relax, and I don’t really grouch I have my sister beside me, watching the movie And this is the time, where I can be free We have snacks in front of us, popcorn and drinks And in the movie there are connections, we soon can link The dining room is where we have fantastic meals together A special love, made from my mother We talk and share about our day And things we need in life, to find our path and our way It is where I get my nutritions to sing, play, and dance And run and jump, maybe even prance! The office room is where my dad works and learns Everyday he goes there, and he runs codes and things that I don’t understand He works a lot, with large quantities of grand After he’s done taking the calls He calls me down, and we race down the halls A home is where we have family traditions for the night But it is also a place where we all fight Loads of emotions come all at once But we make up after, happy at last And we forget it, all in the past A home is a place where I can freely roam And that is my meaning of home.
