The Right Kind of World

We’re living in the wrong kind of world. In the right kind of world, everybody has and knows the meaning of a home. In the right kind of world, everybody belongs. Everybody is healthy and they feel safe. Everybody has friends to have fun with. They can celebrate their own culture without discrimination or worry. In the right kind of world, everybody is warm and cozy. They’re fed and happy, knowing they are nourished. This is the meaning of home to me. Everybody deserves these things but not everybody has access to them. Habitat for Humanity builds houses, but the people who move in make them homes. Habitat for Humanity makes any family who gets a home belong. You make any sad, broken family happy again by giving them a house to make a home. Habitat for Humanity is building the right kind of world.
