Home is Unique

One thing about home is that it's a place where you can be you. Just you. You can read all the books you want about anything you want. You can go out in your backyard and play basketball or soccer. If you feel sad, just relax on the couch and eat ice cream. Home is a safe place for everyone. Home is where you can run up to your parents/guardians and hug them all you want. When you get home you can immediately relax. Sometimes there can be yelling and fights but without those parts how would the good parts be good? If people in your house are always yelling and making you feel bad then your grandparents house could be your home. It might even be your school. Home can be a person, place, or thing. It might be your mom, dad, sister, brother, or anything in between. To you it might be a certain thing like a stuffie you’ve had since you were born. It could be an activity like singing, hockey, or volleyball. Something relaxing could be home like meditating, writing, or reading. Home is different to everyone. For me personally home is my family, my friends, books, food, dance, and music. If I feel overwhelmed I can just think of home or do something that feels like home like listening to music. Many things could be home to you that aren't home to your best friends. Home is unique to everyone no matter where they live.
