More Than Just a House
More Than Just A House
A poem by Kiana Mirabzadeh
A home isn’t just rooms and a door,
Inside, it is much, much more.
Love, hopes, and dreams all woven together,
Like a song that is sung no matter the weather.
Peace and comfort painted on the walls,
As generosity and kindness run through the halls.
A house could be a safe place to stay,
But a home should be a place to play.
Family is important in a home,
A place for imagination to roam.
A family can be small or grand,
A family can shrink or expand.
But what matters most is the fun
That bounces all around as children run.
The scents of food waft through the air,
Being watched with passion and care.
Once the food is ready to eat,
We all enjoy a delicious treat.
A home is a place to live,
The best of all gifts to give.
Thank you for stopping by today,
Next time I wonder if you will stay.
