There's No Place Like Home
There's No Place Like Home
A poem by Abby Hariri
A house comes with walls and a roof up above,
But a home comes with kindness, laughter and love.
A house has furniture fancy and plain,
But a home has joy, compassion, and play.
Your house has rooms and stairs,
But your home has loved ones who are always there.
When you walk in a house, what makes it a home,
A home is a place where kindness can roam.
Your house can have a bedroom or two,
But your home has people who will always love you.
Everybody everywhere,
Should have a home, and families that care.
Although sometimes you might argue,
Know your family will always love you.
Your home is unique and special to you,
It makes you smile and your family too.
Your house could be generations old,
And the best part about it is the stories that are told.
Your house is made of cement and bricks,
But your home has memories that will always stick.
