THE MEANING OF HOME

Some people may ask, “What is home?” because it’s not just four walls and a roof over your head, it’s something more than that. Does your family wake up at 6:00 am and go to school just like that? Every home is different in their own ways, and here is mine. I wake up to see my siblings are still asleep, perfect. I go downstairs to see a beautiful treasure waiting just for me, my breakfast. I take one bite, and I feel like I’m in heaven, I love my mom’s cooking, It’s just different. My siblings wake up and head downstairs just to see I ate everything. “Hey, where’s all the food.” My brother says, “In my stomach.” I say in a calm tone. Hey, I don’t make the rules of having siblings. This is the meaning of home. We head to the car for school “Mom, you forgot to warm up the car again!” I exclaimed. When I get back from school and I’m sad, my mom notices right away and tries to cheer me up. When I realize I have homework though…….my dad explains it in a way that I understand and without me saying “Uh huh, yeah,” without knowing a thing. This is the meaning of home.
