Home is not just a place; it is much more.
Home is not defined by a set of walls or a structure. It is a place where you can feel loved and comforted by people you love. My friends and I are nearly inseparable. Almost every day, my friends and I see each other’s faces, whether it’s online or in real life. They find it hilarious whenever I say, “My sister practically likes you better than she likes me!” Laughter fills the room as we make jokes about what we have done in the past. Although we are not related to each other, it feels like home when we are around each other.
My home is overflowing with love and memories that include me and my family. The dining room is the main area for discussion and bonding. The fresh flowers glisten in the sunlight from the morning sun while eating hot pancakes. The aroma from my mom’s savoury breakfast fills the room and smells so delightful, as if it is telling me to take a bite. Each morning, I am reminded that I am lucky to have a home no matter where it is.
Your home is not just a place or people you are related to. It is a community of people willing to comfort, love, and support you no matter what is happening or what you are doing in your life. Home is much more than a set of walls, windows, and doors. Home is not just a place; it is a place where you can feel safe, loved, comforted, and supported by people that consider you a part of their home, as well.
