What Home Means to Me

To me, a home is a house that is filled with loved ones, especially my family. A home can mean different things to other people, like a warm shelter, or a haven from the outside world. Home is a place where I can relax and make memories with my family and friends. At home I can truly be myself around people who love me, for me. There is no pressure, stress or expectations. I can be at peace and enjoy solitude in the safe space of my own bedroom. I can decorate my room to match my style and take pride in having a personal space to call my own. When I invite friends to my home, I enjoy sharing my room with them. A phrase I would use to describe my thoughts and feelings is: “A house is made of brick and stone, but a home is made of love alone”.
