A Home to Me

A home can be made of sticks and mud, or big blocks of snow. A home can be twenty stories high, or it can be in the ground below. A home can be close to the ocean, or way up a hill. A home can have a chimney on its side, or can have a windmill. A home can be as wide as an island, or as small as a light. A home can be blue, pink or orange, or it can be black and white. A home can have walls, though some are open and free. A home can be covered with vines and herbs, or it may be surrounded by sea. These structures may be homes for some, but I think a home has to be a place where you feel loved. A home can be where you can feel safe and sound, where you can hang out with your friends, family and more. Where you have your heart, and all you adore. Your home may make you feel beloved, protected, and really cared for. Your home may make you feel excited, or your home may make you feel cherished. Your home may remind you of a memory that made you feel delighted, or a memory where you felt loved. Your home might make you feel like you are so lucky to live there, or your home might feel like there's no other better place in the world to be.
