Memories of home

My name is Benjamin. I am an 11-year-old boy, and I really like football. I will now tell you some things that i see when i go to places. Sometimes when i go to a store, for example, I see homeless people, just sitting there, waiting for a chance to get some money, so that they can at least have some food. I sympathize for them. I am very happy that I have a home, because now I know that many people don’t have this opportunity. I am very happy that I have these three main things: food, shelter and water. But there are some things that I want, like a brand-new toy, and sometimes, my parents say no, and I know exactly why. If it costs, say about 50 $, they won’t get the toy for me, because there are some things that are even more important than a toy, like water and heat and other basic needs. These things are important, and we need these things to survive. Home to me is not just a house that has four walls and a roof. To me, home is where I grew up, its where I made memories. To me, home is the place that makes me feel safe. Home is where i rome. If you didn’t know until now, there are a lot of definitions of home. The ones that I explained to you are my favorites. To sum it all up, home has these things: love, shelter, food and family. These are my memories of home. I am very thankful that Habitat For Humanity exists, because now even more and more people will have a chance to have a cozy, warm house filled with love, laughter and family. This is home.
