A home to me

A home to me, is a place to be. People confuse a home and house quite often, but there’s a giant difference when you think about it. A house is a building with walls, floors, roof and celling, but a home is not. A home is a place with friends and family. A safe sanctuary if you will, or even a safe haven too. A place to be yourself, without judgement or hesitation, where your accepted for being yourself without having a doubt. A home is not just place to just eat and sleep, but to have big dreams and try to succeed. To chase them far and wide, no matter how ridiculous they might sound. No matter how big and small, tall or short, it’s a place meant to be for yourself and your family. A place where people believe in you. A place with no judgement once so ever, where people support you for yourself. A home doesn’t need to be a house, it could be a school or being with your spouse. Maybe it could be hanging out with your friends, or maybe just having someone by your side. Maybe even a hug since it makes you feel safe or a high five knowing someone out there is proud of you. Just a small compliment could make you feel proud. Someone’s giving you a thumbs up during your presentation, so they cheer you on. Having friends that support you, all year and so on. That’s what makes a home to me. A home could also be reading by yourself, it could be listening to music your favorite singer released or watching a movie of any genres you like. A home could be anything at all if you imagine it too. But sometimes, it takes a while to find a home. Sometimes, you wont feel at home. But one thing I can absolutely guarantee is that you will find somewhere or someone to call your home. A home to me, its everywhere I can be. It’s being with my friends, or even a foe. To me it doesn’t matter, as long as I feel at home. Where I’m able to be accepted for who I am, even if I might be a little bit weird, annoying, a bit arrogant too. My home is where my friends, family and people accept me and my flaws too.
