The meanings of home
Security. Security doesn't just mean a place that's protected, it’s a place where you feel safe. You might have a million security cameras, but you might never feel safe. You might have a thousand guards, but you might still not feel safe. To feel truly safe you might need a hug or a light on. Safety is different for everybody. To make a house a home you need to be comfortable.
Family. Family is one of the most important meanings of all. If I didn't have my family, my home probably would not feel like a home at all. Family gives you food, fun and most importantly love. My mom gives me food, my dad gives me laughter and my sister gives me friendship. To make a house a home you need family.
Love. Love is the main meaning of home. If it weren't for love you'd probably just yell at each other all the time which wouldn't make a lot of sense. A house is a place with walls and floors but love is something you create. Homes carry love and happiness that you share with your brother and your sister, your mom and your dad and whoever else you live with. To make a house a home you need love.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for making sure everybody has a home to live in!
