Home For Me

Home isn't where you live or eat, home is special. You recognize home even when you can't see it. You recognize home even when you are miles away. You never forget the perfection of home. The views in the early morning give me energy to start my day. I hear a bird in the vast world shatter my heart. I wish I could go out there and find its family. Inside, the warmth of my family’s love makes me feel safe and sound. Behind home, there is a forest that has trails that wind until you can’t tell where to go next. Also, there are lots of friends at home. They make me feel comfortable at home. Home is really where I belong, and where I do my best. When I am at home I can feel the waves of love coming from downstairs where my grandparents live. I can see the joy on the faces that have gone through so much when I visit them. The radiation of joy as we eat dinner in the splitting silence of night should be intimidating but I am used to it because it is another thing I love about my home. In my home there is always light. Even when there is a power outage, my family lights up my dreary living room with their care and hope. Most of all, with all the amazing things lined up in my home, there is one more. The aroma’s. Right when I get home from school, I smell the perfectly cut quesadillas that my mom makes and instantly smile. When I play video games in my favourite room, I feel like nothing can hurt me. Home will always be in my heart, no matter where I am.
