Home is safe. Home is pancakes on a Sunday morning. Home is gliding on ice. Home is to be you. Home is playing hockey. Home feels soft. Home feels like stuffed animals. Home feels like a warm hug from your mom. Home feels like the cover of a book. Home smells like old books. Home smells like warm pancakes. Home smells like herbal tea. Home smells like hockey gear. Home smells like hot chocolate on a cold day. Home looks like my cabin. Home looks like my fort. Home looks like my house. Home looks like my school. Home looks like an ice rink. Home looks colorful. Home sounds peaceful. Home sounds like crows in the mornings. Home sounds like pucks shooting in the basement. Home sounds familiar. Home sounds like my parents typing. Home tastes like happiness. Home tastes like our famous pancakes. Home tastes like cookies. Home tastes like sweet potato fries. We are extremely lucky to have a home. However, some people don’t have a place to call home. So, we thank Habitat for Humanity immensely for helping people who otherwise might not have a home. I give you all of my support!
