Hi, my name is Elinor. I am 9 years old, and I'm from Chapleau, Ontario. I am going to talk about how I feel about my home. Every day when I get back from school, the first thing I do is relax. It’s probably my favourite thing to do. I think the most relaxing room in my home is my room. (Although my sisters do like to be making messes in there). I love to relax. Home is the best place to relax. I just feel comfortable in my home. I’m sure you do too. Okay, forget that I said relaxing is my favourite thing at home. Pets are definitely my favourite part about home. You just walk in your door after an exhausting day, there they are. Now they can make you feel right at home. Wither you have a dog, or cat, they can cheer you right up! I have a cat named Glitter-Mow. She makes me feel cuddly and soft whenever I'm in a bad mood. Pets live there with you in your home. I just love them! Okay, okay. We were all waiting for this one. Safety! I just can walk in those doors and feel safe. No screaming big animals there. You can always feel safe running home if you need to. If you got hurt somewhere, like your school or church, they would send you home to rest. It’s just so nice to feel safe and welcomed. (Well, if you broke a bone or something, they would be more than glad to send you to the hospital). Food and sleeping. What wonderful things to do. Some kids yell, “I don’t want to go to bed”, or “Why do I have to eat”. Well, they are more than lucky to sleep and eat. But the perfect place isn’t at a sleepover, or a Fiest at your friend's house. The perfect place is your home. Just the smell of the food is wonderful, and the energy you get after a good night's sleep. If you don’t eat you can get sick, and the same thing with sleep. The most wonderful thing about home is family. They always are there for you and always will be. No matter how much they annoy you, they are always there for you. I love spending time with my family. Family never gets old. Thats what home is to me. It’s a place to get weights off your shoulders, to spend time with your pets, a place to feel safe, to sleep and eat, and last but not least, family.
