What Home Means To Me

A home is a place above all others, a space where love fills the air, you’re engulfed in warmth as you walk inside knowing that it’s a safe and loving place. The dining room is full of home cooked food, it’s where your friends and family gather around as the food comes out we all munch down. The food is one of the amazing things except for the people who surround you. The kitchen is where aroma fills the air, as freshly cooked food comes out the oven the smell goes everywhere, the food tastes amazing since it’s made with love and care, you know that the end is never near. Your loving words fill the house as you talk about your day and make something great. The living room is a loving space where laughter and cheer fills the place, lounging around with family and friends, it’s where the conversations never end. Bedrooms are the warmest place, it’s somewhere that belongs to you, in your bed you always feel safe, it really is the best place, it’s comforting from fall to spring, with more memories than you can count, this sacred space is your own base. The hallways are lined with pictures, memories wrap the room and make it an amazing space, it connects the mixtures of rooms into one, it’s your house's very own spine. The bathroom is where your thoughts disappear as you're left alone to cleanse yourself, if it’s emotionally or physically it’s a quiet and calm place. The attic and basement may be filled with storage but it’s also filled with memories, as the breeze goes through they float by, it’s your own world of memories.
