A Home of Peace
The meaning of home is expressed through actions,
In a home there is never dissatisfaction.
The walls well painted with warmth and care,
Welcoming feelings fly through the air.
A kitchen is where you might start the morning,
Stepping out of bed to feel the cool flooring.
When seen embraced with love and safety,
Given a meal, so rich and tasty!
A bedroom is where creativity shines,
Where you express yourself, with decorations so divine.
A window to feel the brightness of day,
A space for yourself, where you do as you may.
But maybe the basement may be the place you work,
Or where memories are stored, finding old quirks.
A place expressed to be collecting dust,
But still so valuable, not wasted to rust.
The front door is an escape to reality,
Mental bruises, scrape so nastily.
A hard day at work, or school, or none,
But the cure lies in the heart,
With nothing but a “Well done.”
A feeling so strong, never in dignity,
Only the waves of appreciation and security.
The world changes as the warmth sinks in,
Always a loss, but inside a win.
A home to you may just feel like a place,
But you meet your heroes, face to face.
It’s more than a place of perfection,
Even if it was never in the reflection.
Mean, sad, or unknown,
Young, teen, or all grown,
We all deserve a home.
