What home means to me
When I think of the word home I only think of these six words.
Togetherness: home is where togetherness is rather then resistance it’s when me and my family talk about our day at diner or when we play board games it can happen anytime as long as we’re with each other.
Forgiveness: home is where we make mistakes but you will always be forgiven. We learn from our mistakes so we won't make them again.
Relationships: home is where relationships are born. Where we laugh and we play. Where we comfort each other when we feel upset. Where we share jokes when we’re happy. Home is made out of relationships.
Memories: Home is full of memories, whether it’s taken by a camera or something in your mind. The memories you make will help shape your future. They are something special that you will remember forever.
Happiness: home is filled with happiness. It’s when we laugh and giggle together like when it’s our birthday and we’re singing happy birthday together, but there's also happiness in little things too like when my mother makes pancakes for breakfast or when I help my mother with dinner.
Love: home is overfilled with love. The love from my mother, my father and my sister. Love is the affection towards someone. It’s a range of emotions, but one things for sure, my home is filled with love. We love each other wherever we go.
These are the words I think of when I hear the word Home, this is what home means to me.
Thank you Habitat for Humanity for giving everyone a chance for a home.
