Is Home Just a Word ?

I wish I could just say that home is only a word and has no meaning to it, if I did, I would be lying. It’s like the feeling when you leave home to go to college knowing that you can only visit on holiday, missing your family and your home. When you walk in your house, do you just think that it is just a house that has floors and some walls, but to someone that is less fortunate that doesn’t have a home, it is something warm, a new start off the streets. I grew up in a household where everyone has a warm bed, air conditioning, if you really think about it, you have done things in that house that no one knows. You have cried, yelled, and stomped in your house. When you go looking through old stuff you had when you were younger, something like a teddy bear, you say Oh I remember that I used to love this. You remember the thing, but not the house that you and the teddy bear grew up in. And something as little as a teddy bear can make the memories in your house more memorable. Some people have abusive households and may wish they lived in a different house, or some people might have a bigger, fancier house than they have, but really the moment you put your foot in that new house, you also leave behind your memories in the old house. So that is what home means to me, not just a house, but way more.
