The Meaning of Home

A house and a home are two very different things. A house is where you live, where you sleep, where you hang your hat. But a home is much more than that. A home is your family, the people you feel safe with and love. A home is the people you decide to be around, your friends, the family that you choose. A home is a community of people who want to keep you safe. A home is anyone you are close to. After going to the same school for seven years it became my home. My friends and teachers and everyone who cares about me made it my home. My family is my home, even if they’re right next to me or in a different country. A home is not just four walls with a roof stuck on top. It’s the people you care about.
