Home To Me

To me, home is family, a place where you can feel safe and be yourself. I feel safe in my home because there is a roof above my head. That protects me from rain, snow or any bad weather. Home keeps me warm in the winter and cool in the summer. My home is a place to seek refuge when needed. I can feel safe when there are walls around me keeping the animals and bugs away from me. I can feel safe when there is a lock on the door to keep me safe from intruders, giving me a sense of peace. My bed keeps me warm and comfy providing a good place to sleep in the night. I feel that everyone should have a safe home where they can sleep peacefully and not worry about danger. I can truly be myself when I know I am safe and there are friends and family to comfort me. For example, if I am mad or sad, I know someone will be there to help me. Friends and family are there to help you and if you are feeling down, they will be there for you. Many people consider home a place but it isn’t always a place. It can be an event or a special memory. That is what home is to me.
