My Loving Home

Home is where food brews in the kitchen. A place where you can get cozy and watch tv with your mom and dad. Home is not just bricks and concrete. Home is not a house. A house is a place with doors and windows, with no happiness to linger in the air; all the opposites of a home. You can be yourself in a home. It is a place where laughter fills the room. A house is so boring with no love at all, it has some tables and yes, some chairs, but no board games to play with friends. Home always welcomes you, not a house. A home is pleasant and lively, a house, not so much. We always take care of a home with all our heart. At home you get tucked in at night by your parents. It’s also a place we read quietly in bed. It’s where we scream at our siblings, have birthday parties, where we celebrate holidays, and get ready for school. It’s not just a place that we cook in or sleep in, it is where you grow up and where all the memories settle. So, I thank Habitat for Humanity indeed.
