This is Home

If home was a taste, it would be the taste of my mom’s cooking, her food almost always provides a sense of comfort and peace. Having food made by someone who cares about me everyday, this is home. If home was a sound, it would be my family greeting me as I come home from school. Knowing I’ve came back to the place where I can be myself. This is home. If home was a feeling, it would be an almost overwhelming sense of security and peace, knowing that I’ll always be protected and safe when I’m there. This is home. If home was a sight, it would be my dogs barking at me as I walk into the house, setting a sense of excitement into my system, knowing that I’ll get plenty of cuddles. This is home. If home was a scent, it would be the smell of freshly baked cookies cooling off on the kitchen counter, knowing the cookies are baked with love and care. This is home.
