What Does A Home Mean To Me?
What does home mean to me? My home is not just a roof up above to shelter me. My home is not just a big wall made of bricks surrounding me. My home is more than just protection for me. My home is a feeling. A feeling that embraces me with happiness and warmth. A feeling of safety and security that makes me feel protected every time I take a step. A feeling of old memories and the feeling of making new ones. A feeling that makes me want to live here forever, in my true home.
My home has become a place of cherishing old memories and creating new ones. I feel the true feeling of a home. Safe and comforting, how a home should feel like. Like they say, “Home is where your heart is.” Well, my heart is here, and it will always be for the centuries to come. Nothing or nobody could ever change the feeling of a true home that I have now. I can feel the beating of my heart as I enter the doorway and as my feet touch the doormat, I see my family, the same family that makes this place have the feeling of a home I would call my own.
I enter the kitchen where I smell the delightful aroma of my mom’s cooking. I sit down at the dinner table ready to dig in. My teeth sink into the warm food and that warmth fills me with happiness I’ve never felt before. The warmth reaches down and touches my heart, making me smile. My mom’s cooking, the best reason to call this place my home.
This is my home, my true home. Hence, home is a feeling. A memorable feeling.
