Home to Me

A house can be grand with walls painted or bare but a home has warmth that lingers in the air. A house has four corners, a roof and a door but a home has love that can not be bought at a store. Can you imagine what it's like not to have a loving caring family? To me a home is a place where I'm with my family. It doesn't matter what colour the walls or what kind of doors and roof we have, all that matters to me is who I'm with. My home is filled with amazing memories of me and my brother and I love making more memories with him every day and with the rest of my family. Even though we fight and argue sometimes I love him so much and I couldn't imagine life without him and the rest of my family. Home to me is a place where you feel safe and loved. My parents are always going out of their way to make me feel that. And they are always supporting me in whatever I'm doing. Some of my memories in my home are going skating on my ice rink, swimming in my pool with my family, playing hockey in my basement, and doing little gymnastics competitions in front of my family. I am so grateful to be able to do these things in my home. Even if I wasn't able to do these things in my home, that wouldn't matter to me because all that matters to me is who I'm with. My home is a place that is filled with lots of delightful dishes, laughter and peaceful evenings and I couldn't imagine it any other way.
