House vs. Home

A house is a place like a building with couches and beds but it’s not a place that feels warm like home. Home is a place full of love and comfort like family. Our family makes a house feel like a home. It makes the word house have comfort and love. Home is a place where you want to be respected and have familiar feelings and familiar tastes. House means not having a warm happy and loving family that cares about you and supports your rough changes in your life. To me, home feels like mom’s all day cooking then eating the best meal you’ve had in a while and smelling freshly baked cookies after having a bad day. hearing my dad wake up and knowing he’s going to wake me up next for school on a Monday morning after the best weekend, watching my brother play football even though I don’t like watching it.
