Home is a Bouquet

Every home is like a flower in a bouquet, special in its own way. Canada is inclusive, made-up of many different homes and cultures. Each is a rare gem, full of its own charm, and Canada has just the right way of putting this puzzle together. A piece of Cameroon could go over here, and then El Salvador would fit there... For example, Chinese immigrants love red color. Their houses are usually decorated with red ribbons and signs, especially during Spring Festival. They also have delicious dishes focusing on spice and warmth, which also reflect the red color. I feel that if China were a flower, it would be the red carnation, always so full of energy and vibrance. Another example could be Indian immigrants. They are passionate dancers, and they even make their own way of counting rhythm. Their houses are usually decorated with fancy drapes, to a shelf of elephant art, as they are popular in India. Curry food is often cooked in their kitchens, blending in with the sweet aroma of their homes. I would say that if India were a flower, it would be the chamomile, which encourages spirit, movement, and brilliance. In addition, French immigrants decorate their houses with nature, chandeliers, and canopies. They are also incredible with fashion ideas, such as transforming old pieces into innovative artifacts! If France were a flower, it would be a parrot’s beak, a symbol of elegance, poise, and courtesy. Overall, each home is special because of the culture and each piece the homeowners add to the puzzle. Even though our homes are vastly different, they can still come all together in a bouquet, just like flowers. There are always more for you to discover at each Canadian’s home.
