If You're Not From The Philippines

If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the heat, you just can't know the heat. The sunny hot weather and people screaming to turn the AC on because it's way too hot. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the heat. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the food, you just can't know the food. The delicious creamy ice cream in the halo-halo. The sweet and jiggly jello. Especially the most well known dish adobo. The delicious flavored chicken and the black Pepper, your mom secretly sneaks in the adobo. Also, the most famous restaurant all Filipinos love is JOLLIBEE. THE JUICY CHICKEN that makes your mouth water. The delicious spaghetti with the hotdog and the cheese. The sweet pineapple juice, the chocolate sundaes, and the yum burger! If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the food. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the celebrations, you just can't know the celebrations. The people there celebrate Christmas at the start of September. The crowded parades are filled with alot of maskaras and creativity! If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the celebrations. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the saying of “po and opo.” It's a saying in Filipino culture. Whenever someone older than you asks you something you say “po and opo”. It's how they show respect in the Philippines. If your not from the Philippines you don't know the saying of ”po and opo.” If you're not from the Philippines you don't know karaoke, you just don't know karaoke. The AMAZING POWERFUL singing coming from the Filipinos. It’s one of the most common things Filipinos do at parties. A Lot of people say that Filipinos are good at singing. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know karaoke. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the beaches, you just can’t know the beaches. The pretty seashells you can find in the soft sand. The salty sparkling blue clear ocean. The beautiful sunset, the boats, and the palm trees. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know the beaches. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know Bayanihan, you just can’t know Bayanihan. Bayanihan means helping each other. When someone is in trouble or having a hard time they're always there to help. Even if a family member gets sick they're always there to comfort you. But if you remove the han it becomes Bayani. Which means hero: The people that sacrificed their lives for us. Without them we would be in danger. We wouldn't have freedom or joy. Remember you don't need to wear a superhero mask or a cape to be a hero. A little small act of kindness or helping someone is a hero. If you're not from the Philippines you don't know Bayanihan. If you’re not from the Philippines, you don’t know me, you just can’t know me. There are so many wonderful things about the Philippines! It’s my favorite place in the world.
