The definition of home

It was tough Those first days in my new house It felt so empty No memories or little things to make it home But as those days swept by Like the wind on a summers night I found those things Those little quirks that made it home Now I know what home means to me But the definition has changed Home used to be bright red bricks And dusty pictures on the walls Playing in puddles And digging in the dirt But now home means New friends and jumping down the halls And reading in the secret nook Just before falling asleep
