What My Home Means to Me

When I think of home I think of love. My best memory is when we played Mario Kart on the TV at my house with my family. The championship winner was me. I won 20 bucks as the first place winner. When me and my family play games and have time together I feel loved. When I think of home I think of being cared for. I feel safe at home. I feel safe because when I am with my family I feel protected with them. I know I am protected because if someone tried to hurt me, they would defend me. When I think of home, I think of these smells. The wood stove, fresh cookies and waffles. The wood stove creates a bit of a smoke smell- especially when you are lighting it on a cold morning. Another smell I think of is fresh cookies straight out of the oven. My favourite kind is peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. On the weekend when I wake up, I always smell fresh waffles and it makes me feel happy. When I think of home I think of outside because in the winter me and my dad will go snowmobiling. Every year at the Inverness capers snowmobiling club as a snowmobile rally it is a lot of fun. When I go snowmobiling I feel free. As you see this is what home means to me.
