What Does Home Mean to Me?
My home means more to me than just a set of walls and a roof. It’s a place that has a lot of memories, like family time and family visits.
It’s where my sister, Avalon and I bake her tasty chocolate chip cookies. It's where my mom cooks delightful dishes. My favorite dish is my moms glory bowls. It is where my dad makes his famous fluffy pancakes on a weekend morning. It’s where my brother practices hockey and plays hockey mini sticks with me. It’s where my family plays board games, like Clue, Code Names, and Uno. It’s where my dog, Foster, comes to greet me when I walk in the door and it’s where I find my cat, Rosie in the funniest places. Home is where my family and I celebrate holidays together.
At home I like to colour and draw downstairs at my art table and I like to sit by my wood stove to relax and feel cozy. I also like to watch movies and TV shows with my family.
My home is as warm as a really big hug. It’s a place I feel safe and loved. I love my home with all my heart. My Dad built my house the year I was born and I think everyone deserves a home. A home is not a house, a home is in your heart.
