The Sad Truth Of Poverty

A home and a house are two very different things, a house is the object, the building with four walls and a roof over your head. A home is a place where you can feel safe, respected but most of all a home is a place with family. It doesn’t matter if you even live in a box, as long as you have family to support and help you through everything. Back when I was younger I thought that the world was all sunshine and rainbows, but I was far from correct. As I have grown older there are dozens of things that I have realized are getting hard to maintain, for example, bills, taxes but most of all poverty all over the world (Homelessness). Poverty is one of the very few things that truly hurts my heart. I can’t bare the sadness of walking past somebody without a home, that's why I'm really thankful for Habitat for Humanity! Every year I grow older I also grow more empathetic for lots of stuff, (including poverty). Since I have learned more about Habitat for Humanity I've wondered about all the stuff they do for people in need, and the bottom line is they give people second chances! They open a chamber in my heart, with me knowing that lots of desperate people get helped. Believe it or not, around 13.4 million people have gotten homes from Habitat For Humanity! I believe that no matter what you do, you should always be given a second chance, whether it's addictions or lying, so i’m going to say this from the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you do Habitat For Humanity, and never lose hope!
