The Difference Between a Home and a House

A house is just walls, a roof and windows. A home is more than that. A home is a loving, caring and warm space where your family is. You can live in any structure and make it a home by adding your personal touches like family photos, the people you love, pets and favourite items. A house can become a home if your family is there. A home makes you feel safe, cozy, loved and so on. When you come home there is always a warm plate waiting for you. All your loved ones are there. When I think about coming home I look forward to telling my family about my day and seeing them. When I moved to my new house I felt incomplete. Everything was different. My whole life I had been sharing a room with my little sister and in my new house I wouldn't be. I was excited to get my own room but I was nervous. I ended up sleeping in my sister’s room for the first couple of days. I thought my new house would never feel like home but I realized that the only way to feel like home is when your loved ones are there. It doesn't matter what your house looks like. It only matters if your loved ones are there waiting for you.
