What Home Means to Me

Home might mean different things to different people, but to me, home is safety, comfort and happiness. First, Home means safety to me because of the security I feel under the roof. My home also means comfort to me because of the environment in the house. Lastly, Home can’t be called home without happiness. Whenever I arrive back at my house, I would always feel secure the moment I step into the door. The familiar scent is welcoming and warm, which makes me feel extra safe. I always have my family supporting me and it makes me feel like I belong instead of insecure and unsafe. My home is also very comfortable, I can just fling myself onto the couch with a blanket or go into my room and climb onto my warm and soft bed. It’s always so warm and comfortable regardless of the environment. Last but not least, my home also brings happiness to my life, which probably means the most to me. My parents would always make the most hilarious jokes ever! My little brother always has the funniest fails ever. We always play cards or board games on the weekends. The whole house would be filled with laughter. Home is a very special place to everyone, and we all have a unique meaning behind our homes. Sometimes people don’t get to have a place to call home, and that’s okay too. But I hope for everyone to have a proper habitat to call home just like everyone else.
