Home Is a Place of Love and Joy

A Home Is Warm HOME is a place where you can feel pleasant, When you are at home, you aren’t royalty, nor a peasant, HOME is a place where you have good sleep, No counting money, only counting sheep A HOUSE may be large, but don’t be tricked, Its walls have no warmth, and it makes you feel sick, A HOUSE may be glamorous, built using gold But even with a heater, it still feels cold, A HOME is built with wood, brick and clay, Built by generous workers all day A HOME was built on a foundation of love As if it was blessed by the gods above A HOUSE may have tech, and personal robots But it would never beat the coziness of steam from the teapot A HOUSE may have the greatest and biggest bed But when you sleep, taxes and bills fill your head A HOME has baked goods stocked up in plenty, When you sit down, furniture hugs you gently, A HOME has a door, a portal to belonging, It is a place where lovely sunlight is dawning, A HOUSE has bright lights, that shine in white, Light that are painfully bold and bright, A HOUSE has a chandelier, boasting scented candles, The door may be new, but it will have dented handles, A HOME has warm lights, it likes to stay humble, Its walls are quite sturdy, so it will not crumble, A home has paintings, of people you know, Homes have wind chimes, that twinkle when wind blows, A HOUSE may have jewelry, polished to perfection, But every hallway is the wrong direction, A HOUSE is built on money, made for the rich, But still, the thought of it makes you flinch, Habitat For Humanity, you are the best, You guys are like birds, building a nest, You guys are like knights, with a noble steed, Always helping people, who are in need.
