The Meaning of Home

The Meaning of Home The meaning of home for me is when I come home after a long day and relax in my comfy bed. A home is where you can see your pet’s or smell home made food. A home is where you can be happy and you can hear the laughter that fills the air. My home is a place that makes me feel safe. A home can have laughter and joy. When I come home I can hear my cats playing in the basement and my dogs barking to see who is home. A home is a place where you can be happy and safe. My home is a place where I can be happy. A home is where I can smell my Mom’s spaghetti and my Dad’s cookies that come fresh out of the warm oven. A home is not just a building, a home is where I can be welcomed. My home is where I can play with my friends. A home is where I walk through the front door to see my Mom standing there and waiting for me. A home is where you can feel loved and safe. My home is when I come inside from playing and my Mom gives me hot chocolate in the winter. A home can be filled with happiness and joyfulness. A home can be where you play with friends or where you have sleepovers with your friends. A home is filled with happiness. A house may have furniture, but a home maybe has some furniture that maybe was passed down from family members. A home is filled with memories that are special. A home is a place to call your own. A home will always be special to you. Your home is a place that makes you safe and makes you happy. By: Ryleigh Campbell
