Meaning of Home Story

1 day until entering home… James was entering a soup kitchen with his dad. As you think, I’m homeless with my dad. My mother died 3 years ago. “Which type of soup do you want? Chicken noodle or noodle?” “Chicken noodle” I say. “Go save us a seat” says dad. I go to a table and after 5 minutes my dad comes to our table that I saved with two bowls of soup. After we finished eating, I cleared the table and met with dad outside. We went to our tent in the park where my best friend was playing. I played with him until lunch. After that, we joined with other kids to play kickball while my dad went to the store. And then before you knew it, it was time for dinner. We went back to the soup kitchen and had noodle soup. Then we went back to our tent and slept. 3 hours until entering home… I woke up early because it was my dads birthday. I was saving money for a cake. Once I got back my dad was awake. “Surprise!” I say to dad. “I got you a cake.”I say. “I’m going to tell you something.” “What is it?”I ask. “There's this corporation that builds homes for people like us. Today on my phone they sent us a message that said that they built a house for us and if we would like it. So we're going there soon. Ok?” “YES!!!!!!!!!!” I yell. “ I’m going to send a message that we’re coming. Go pack your bag”. I race to my part of the tent and pack up. And when I’m done, we start our walk to our new home. Thank you Habitat for Humanity, for building homes. The End
