What Home Means To Me

What Home Means To Me By: Magnus Wang At home I can smell my dad cooking yummy food for us in the kitchen. The smell of the food floats into the bedroom. I can smell the yummy snacks that my mom bought me. At home I can smell my mom making yummy sushi. I can smell the ice cream in the fridge that my mom bought me. At home I can smell the french fries cooking in the air fryer. At home I can hear my mom washing up fruits for me. I can hear the sound of my mom cutting up fruits for me. At home I can hear my fish swimming calmly in his tank. I can hear the faucet running water through as my dad washes his hands. At home I can hear the pan sizzling as my dad cooks. I can hear the sound of pouring water from the water filter. At home I can touch my fish’s food so he can eat. He gobbles up his food quietly. I can touch my comfortable bedding as I relax and sleep. At home I can touch my plate of food that my parents made for me. I can touch my books that my mom bought for me so I can read. At home I can touch my lego so I can play with them. At home I can taste the yummy food my parents made for me. I can taste the chips my mom bought me from the supermarket. At home I can taste the french fries my mom made me. I can taste yummy egg fried rice that my mom made for me. At home I can taste my breakfast cereal with milk. I can taste the sweetness of the muffins my mom baked me. At home I can see my parents happily waiting for me to come home. I can see their friendly smile on their faces. At home I can see my fish swimming happily around his tank. I can see my backpack as I prepare to go to school. At home I can see large boxes of snacks my mom bought me. I can see my comfortable bed as I prepare to sleep.
