Meaning of Home

What is home to you? When I get home after a long day of school, I jump in my warm, cozy bed and drink a glass of cold water. To me, home is a safe place where I can go when I get stressed out or angry. I can see my family and friends when I have a tough day. I also have delicious hot food and ice-cold clean water to drink. I have warm heat so I can warm up in the freezing cold winters. I also have AC for the hot summers. I have shelter from the deadly hurricanes and tornadoes. I have access to hospitals and medication when I am sick. I can also play with my adorable pets. They make me super happy. Home is my favourite place to be. My favourite thing to do at home is watch a movie with my family and friends and have a hot cup of hot chocolate with lots of marshmallows. Sometimes I think about people who don't have a home or a safe place to go. They have to sleep outside in the horrible cold of the winter and the blistering, scorching hot, heat of the summer. They don't have access to food and water or any basic human needs. All they want is a roof over their heads and food on the table. Some homeless people also don't have many supportive family or friends.
