What Home Means to Me
By: Lucas. Luo
In this short essay I will define what a home means to me with the five senses.
In my kitchen, I can hear the sizzling of the fried eggs. I can taste the delicious food that me and my mom made, I can smell the freshly made rice that was steamed. I can feel the hot fire frying the egg on the pan and I can see the freshly fried eggs getting scooped out of the pan.
In my living room, I can see the tv playing my favorite show. I can smell the food cooking nearby, I can hear my sister’s footsteps coming to watch the television with me. I can feel the couch under me and I can taste my movie snack, popcorn.
In my bedroom, I can feel the soft bed and I can see the bedroom tv in front of me. I can hear my mom snoring, and smell the fresh air from the windows and I can taste the fresh air.
In my gaming room, I taste the chips and see the video games. I can feel the mouse under my hand, I can hear my friends talking about the game. I can smell the popcorn around me.
These are the memories that were made in my house with sight, smell, taste, hearing and touch and these are the memories that make my home my home
