What Home Means To Me By Stephen Chen Do you ever wonder what the difference is between a home and a house? A house is limited to a building with four walls but a home could be anything like a cardboard box. A home is somewhere that you feel comfortable and safe in, but a house is just a building that houses someone. Home is also a place where you can relax and have the comfort of eating and having enough to eat. Home is where your family is no matter where you are and you know you are loved. A home is comfortable and safe because it is safe from most natural disasters like rain, blizzards, hail and storms. A home is safe for other reasons like the fact no one will judge you in any way. It is where you can also express your feelings any way you like. If someone judges you it could make you emotionally unstable. The reason it is comfortable is because a home is warm and has something to lounge in, like a couch, sofa or even a recliner chair. It probably also has a bed that you call your own and it may even have the scent of you engraved in it. A home is where you can relax and have the comfort of knowing you have enough to eat three full meals a day. Three full nutritious meals with grain, vegetables, proteins, dairy and fat. You even have a fridge and freezer to keep food from spoiling and rotting because there's enough food to last months to years maybe, but some people barely even have enough to eat!. In a home you can also relax by playing video games, watching tv, and even taking a long hot shower. Most houses have a tv, but my home has a tv where we play Nintendo Switch together like Mario Kart and Mario Party. Lastly, a home is a place where you are surrounded by family and relatives. When you are surrounded by people you love, you become more positive. Your family loves you at any time or place. If you did something bad your family still loves you. No matter where you are, you know your home is where your loved ones are. In conclusion, a house doesn't have to be a home. My home is where I feel safe and comfortable. My home is where I can relax and eat whatever I want. My home is where my loving family is.
