The Meaning Of Home

Home to me means a safe place to call your own. It is a place that is colourful and special. It is where families get together, laugh and have fun. A house may have four corners, four walls, windows, and doors but a home is filled with family, joy, hope, and love. When I get home from school with my brother, sometimes I will say “We're home” and my Mom and Dad will welcome us. When I’m home, I can do things I can’t do at school. When I’m home, I’m myself. Home is where my puppy, Luna, is and she is my best friend. At home, I for sure know that there is someone I can talk to. Home is a place where kids look forward to after school. At home, I make my teachers gifts that I think will make their day. Home is a place where I am safe and protected. I have a lot of memories in my house and I will cherish them forever. My one dog, Miko, crossed the Rainbow Bridge in my house and it made me feel better that he crossed from a place he loved. A house may be a place you live in, but a home is part of your family.
