What is a home?
What is a home? A home is a place that you feel comforted, safe, peaceful, loved, cared for, and acknowledged. School feels like a home to me because I have friends and family attending there. The difference between a home and a house is that a house is just a building that someone/something would live in, while a home can be anywhere that you feel that people would care for you. No matter how upset you are, the people there where you call home would be comforting you. I have two places that I call home. School, and my house. From Monday to Friday for six hours, school makes me feel very comfortable. And in my house, I would love my family till the day that I die. I love my family so much. They make me laugh till my stomach hurts, they take care of me when I’m feeling sick, I honestly feel like I can be myself near my family. I feel special near them. I also feel that way near my friends, that I adore as well. They make school much more fun, I am extremely happy to have met them, and I hope that they stay in my life and that I don’t lose them. They hold a special place in my heart that contains very special and loved people of my life. Also my pets that have passed away, I miss them a lot and I cried for days after they passed away. I really didn’t want them to die. Also, some specific people from my family have changed my life. For instance, my older sister is one of many people that I will love forever. I will never stop crying if she passes away. She is one of the people that makes my house feel like a home. Yes, she can be annoying sometimes! But that doesn’t mean that I won’t love her anymore. She makes me feel valued and always cheers me up when I’m down. Also my mom makes me feel ecstatic. She raised me, fed me, bathed me, all of those things were her hard work and dedication. Every time I get back from school, she asks me “How was your day?” Proving that she cares for me a lot In conclusion, a house and a home are two different things. A house is just a building, but a home is a place you feel valued, loved, safe, and comfortable.
