My Home

My home is a place where all of my memories check in to stay, finding their room. But my home is not just some walls and a roof, it’s like a museum of memories that I had an hour ago, a year ago, the memory that happened just now, and the memory when I finally got my first and one and only dog, Cooper. My home is a place where I can rest after a long day of school. After doing projects, working, or studying for a test. I can take a nap and have a dream or calm down and read a book. My home protects me from the outside when there’s a blizzard, so I don’t get a cold, or get sick, from the winter season. The windows to my home allow me to see what’s on the outside and what’s going on out there. Like children playing, people walking their dogs, my mom gardening or my dad mowing the lawn. My home has many rooms, like bedrooms, a living room, bathrooms, a kitchen and a basement. My bedroom has a bed where I can sleep, a closet where I can change my clothes and a desk where I go on my computer and do my homework. This is where I have my privacy and time for myself. At home, I cook food with my family in the kitchen, where we all gather. I can cook eggs, pancakes, and bacon, with the help of my parents. I love to cook with my family. The kitchen is the main room in my house. My home is a place where I feel protected from bad weather outside and where my family and friends come to gather and enjoy good food and company. One of the greatest memories for me is when my dog Cooper first stepped foot in our house. It was three years ago, the day before my 8th birthday. He was a tiny puppy and I fell in love with him. As I continue to grow up, I know there will be more lasting memories in our home and I will remember them when I grow old.
