A Place to Call Home

My home is not just what you see Windows, doors, and big green trees. It’s where I laugh, where I’m loved and free to be, A cozy place that means so much to me. My home is where I bake with Grandma and my mother, Play hide-and-seek with Poppa and my brother. It’s where my cat purrs as he cuddles on my bed. Every nook holds a special memory in my head. My home has all my favorite things. It holds old dreams and new ones it brings. It’s where I rest each night, Excited for what tomorrow will be like. Each room, my mom by my side, Life’s lessons taught, my guide. My home a very special place, Tender care, lots of warm embrace. Some do not have windows, doors, or trees, No special place to call their own you see. No bed to sleep in every night, No warm place to gather that feels right. Habitat for Humanity works as a team. Through hard work, they build special places to dream. They work with kindness and love, so much, To give a home to those in need and such. Habitat for Humanity gives a place to start, A place to hold deep in families hearts. A home filled with hope and love to grow, A place to feel safe and free to go.
