What Home Means to Me

Home is where I feel safe, and I feel loved. The smell of food in the oven, the laughter that my family shares, the sound of hearts beating, and the hugs we share are all kept in my safe warm home. My home is everything to me, and when I leave my home, there is still a piece of home inside of me. The feeling of love from my family is always within me. Whether I am at school, outside, at a friend’s house and, especially when I am with my family, I always feel safe and secure with their love supporting me. A house is just walls, floors, and a roof but a home is something that a house can never be. A home is a place where you live, love, and so much more. There is nothing more special than your own home. When I am at home, I feel so grateful for everything I have. It’s not just the money or the expensive things, it’s coming home and seeing your family’s joy. It’s the food and beverages you consume, the clothes you wear, the warm bed in which you dream, and it means a lot to have all those things. Everyone should have a safe home and a loving family to come home to. That is what home means to me!
